We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to manage and oversee the general accounting operations within our finance department. You will be responsible for reconciling account balances, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with Norwegian GAAP, and supporting audits and tax declarations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with Norwegian accounting standards.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
• Handle month-end and year-end close processes.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit materials.
• Accurately and on time complete VAT and other tax filings.
• Monitor and implement internal controls to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a Norwegian context.
• Strong knowledge of Norwegian accounting and tax regulations.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Fortnox, Visma).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Professional-level English.
